I founded ADKCA in the Fall of 2010 after a year of service as a community acupuncturist with colleague Kevin Campopiano at The Acupuncture Studio.  I loved how the community model made acupuncture available to everyone and this compelled me to create a place where I could combine the benefits of community acupuncture with my specialty as a fertility acupuncturist.  Being an acupuncturist for CNY Fertility & Healing Arts in Latham, I have seen the power and success of combining the medical disciplines of East and West, and have also seen what a financial strain it can be for those on a fertility quest.  My goal was to develop a space that could ease the financial strain for anyone seeking treatment and yet still provide the the same quality of treatment available in private settings.  The result of my vision and design is a two room layout at ADKCA, both of which function as communal rooms:

ABOUT ADKCA by Warren MacNaughton, LAc

Chi Lounge (left photo) is my general community room furnished with 5 zero-gravity chairs.  This space is filled with plants and resonates vibrant chi and  relaxing music.  The atmosphere is softly lit and calming.  Most non-fertility patients will experience their treatments here in the awesome comfort of a zero gravity recliner.

Jing Garden (right photo) is my fertility room furnished with 2 tables and TDP heat lamps.  This room is also brimming with plants and has a womb-like feel to it.  The atmosphere is warm & quiet with soft lighting & music promoting deep relaxation.  Fertility patients have priority in this room as the tables are more conducive for accessing abdominal points.

ADKCA’s reception area (top photo) is a quiet and inviting space where patients can enjoy tea and read a plethora of resource materials including books and articles on healing arts, nutrition, fertility & yoga, or check out our community board for postings of events and activities in the area.  ADKCA also has an herbal pharmacy featuring Chinese patent medicines, western medicinal herbs, and nutritional supplements for fertility and general wellness.
